Judgement Day

 judgement day 2009

Northern Combat Martial Arts from strength 2 strength

Attending without doubt the biggest and longest kickboxing event this year , northern combat martial arts fighter took to the arena with fighters from across england, hungary, bulgaria, holland, africa..

In the end amidst much drama shaun took to the base and comfortably went unbeaten in his weight category. Changing his fight plan at the last minute due to injury and family problems, shaun tried out his new targeting system he has been working on for the world championships. It seem to work a treat winning by a TKO in the second round of the finals.

This increases the title tally brought to Preston & The Master Class Centre to 3 in 2009.

Leadership Project

Leadership ProjectThe Master Class Cenre Leadesrhip Project was born from the need to target hard to reach teenagers. Originally commissioned award winning NHS Barbershop mental health department, the project is designed as an early intervention project or as final measure tool. Physical activity is used to engage indentified teenagers, this being challenging and character building. Leadership Training is offered educating teenagers on how to be a leader including, roles, responsibility, qualities, choice, peer pressure, communication.
The skills taught are practiced on a regular basis during the project with each other and others

Commitment

CommitmentCommitment to martial arts should not be entered casually; but, once you do enter, you give it your all. Just as when you were a baby, you did not give up on learning to walk despite the fact that you fell on your nappy more times than mum could count. A commitment means that the job will be completed if not sooner then later, if not easily then with effort, if not for its rewards then for the rewards of knowing you can stick with it when so few can even take the first step. Your instructors role is to help you achieve your personal goal which does not included imprinting a false sense of security.
