The Mixed Kickboxing is the stand up element of our MMA system which utilises use of kicks, elbows, knees, throws and western-boxing-style punches. The system is called sanda and is the chinese equivilant of kickboxing/mma.
This form of kickboxing is commonly refered to as Oriental Rules or K1 & is not to be confused with Thai Boxing which is more traditional. Kickboxing is normally practiced for general fitness, or as a contact sport.
So whats takes place in a typical class
Training:
•A basic warm up routine including skipping & shadow boxing
•Exercises
•Stretching & Flexibility
•Pad work & conditioning
•Bag work
•Technical tuition
Many students do not wish to spar therefore all sparring tuition takes place in an additional class which is optional.
Additional information:
All classes are structured and regulated with an experienced instructor dedicated to getting the maximum from each student.

The Lads & Dads experience
Lads and dads is a program specific for fathers / step fathers and their son's / step sons. Due to the way society is positive male role modelling within the family is become more and more a thing of the past. Parenting by the father or step father is becoming increasingly more difficult with little or no support.
So who is this program aimed at ?
- Estranged father that only sees his son at the weekend
- Parent that is bored of the usual McDonalds, Movies, Park routine
- Parent that is finding it difficult to bond with your son.
- Parent that would like to get in shape with their son.
Each session lasts approx 1hr. Each session consists of team building activities connected to boxing & kickboxing.
What will i need to take part ?
All you will need is normal training attire i.e jogger bottoms, shorts, t shirt. If you have a pair of gloves / bag gloves thats fine but dont worry if you dont as we have plenty you can loan.
Do I need to get in shape before hand ?
No the fun bit is getting in shape with your son and working as a team to achieve this goal

Wing Chun is an indepth & very effective method of self defence. This Kung Fu system trains you to balance & focus on both internal and external development bringing the best from these two, often distinct, ends of the martial arts spectrum.
The style is based on understanding natural movements of the human anatomy & physiology. By promoting the use of our natural structure and natural movements we can therefore defend against stronger opponents.
By learning and developing the principles of Wing Chun, we learn how to use our body and mind in the most efficient and effective way possible.
As a self defence system the contact level increases as you progress in your training therefore a knocks are brusies are likely.
Because of the nature of this system we therefore recommend not suitable under 21.

Junior Kickboxing

In our junior kickboxing class we ensure that the training we supply for our junior students is both highly rewarding and great fun. We aim develop young students with important values such as courtesy, respect, patience, confidence, self esteem, positive attitude and team working skills.
Our Junior program is aimed at children between the ages of 10 and 14 years.
These classes are 60 minutes long and unisex. This is to ensure that concentration is maintained in the classes and the regular evaluations provide support to the students while establishing the concept of goal setting. Our instructors will work with your child through an established reward system to ensure active participation at all levels.
Instructors are qualified and local authority CRB checked
Two classes are available
Cheeki Kickboxing for ages 5 - 10 12.00pm - 1.00pm
Junior Kickboxing for ages 10 - 14 1.30pm - 2.30pm

This is a female only kickboxing class. The class is completely non contact and is perfect for ladies looking for a new fitness class. The classes are great for burning calories and having fun doing it. You will be exercising using punches, kicks, knee and elbow strikes. A female instructor currently teach the female kickboxing classes.
The classes are fun and burn calories fast due to the type of exercise involved.

Well this non-contact weekly workshop is designed to enable practitioners interested in sparring the chance to safely develop their strategies, combinations and fight plans.
