What is Qigong
Qigong is a holistic discipline derived from Taoism philosophy which was a way of life in ancient china. Taoists spent much of their time observing, listening and meditating in order to gather a deeper understanding and greater knowledge of nature generally beyond the reach of human society. In the search of longevity Taoists moved from observing nature to experimentation and development. Preparation of a strong, healthy body led to the development of Qigong breathing exercises.
For thousand of years, the ancients practiced and developed various breathing techniques to improve, correct, and heal sicknesses of vital organs in the human body. These exercises are considered a superior method and one of the valuable aspects of Chinese martial arts to achieve longevity and live in good health.

Here is the one for the kickboxers, king of the ring is back

In 2008 we had the king of the ring which was a fantastic success with some awesome bouts, 2009 we had to suspend due to lack time and resources.
Guess what ? 2010 its back and this time in an annual league format. The league will have a slightly different format depending on the fighters level of experience and split into categories to include: Light continouos & K1 kickboxing (knees to the body & low kicks) |

The new format for ALL the fitness classes has now been tested with great success. A successful weight control, fitness program requires regular change in order to avoid the body adapting too much and progress stalling. January 2010 will see the new format being implemented which is perfect timing for the extra pounds that have been put on a little over the festive period.
